Villages of Ithaka

Island Character

From Harbour Towns to Mountain Settlements

Each village on Ithaka has its own personality — neoclassical harbour fronts, medieval mountain clusters, and vineyard hillsides connected by quiet roads.

Vathi

The capital and main port of Ithaka, nestled at the end of a deep natural harbour. Colourful neoclassical houses, waterfront tavernas, and a relaxed island pace.

Where Panoramic View Villa is located — everything within walking distance.

Kioni

A picturesque fishing village on the northeast coast with a small harbour, traditional architecture, and a handful of excellent tavernas.

Often called one of the most beautiful villages in the Ionian Islands.

Frikes

A small, authentic port village in the north. Ferry connections to Lefkada and Kefalonia depart from here.

Great for a half-day trip combined with a visit to Stavros.

Stavros

The main village of northern Ithaka, believed to be near the site of Odysseus's palace. Home to a small but significant archaeological collection.

The Archaeological Collection of Stavros connects visitors to Homeric legend.

Anogi

A mountain village at 500m elevation with a medieval atmosphere, giant boulders, and panoramic views across the island.

The Church of the Dormition features rare 17th-century frescoes.

Perachori

A hillside village above Vathi known for its wine production and sweeping views over the bay.

Traditional Ithakan wine cellars and a peaceful atmosphere.
